COMMUNITY:

• Born in Uniacke Square, Lindell Smith is a lifelong resident of North End Halifax.  After graduating from the NSCC he was a co-founder of Center Line Studio, a non-profit recording studio for youth who want to express themselves through art and music.  In October 2016, Lindell Smith was elected as City Councillor for District 8, Halifax Peninsula North.  At age 26, he was one of the youngest councillors to ever be elected in Halifax, and he was the first African Nova Scotian community member to have a seat on CIty Council in 16 years.
